A major South Korean supplier of OIS and autofocus actuators
has struck a deal with Apple, according to industry sources. Last year, the
US-based company visited Yahoo and some believe the OIS module maker is
spending more than $155 million on building a new manufacturing facility.
Given the size of the investment and the fact that Apple often asks its suppliers to build production lines just for its needs, this is a strong indication that the two companies are starting to work together. It is interesting to note that OIS to the Huawei Samsung as well
is a module provider.
The new camera hardware, which is believed to be used for telephoto units, will arrive in time for next year's iPhone 15 lineup, which is slated for production in Q2 2023.

B, while this doesn't mean Apple has decided to include a periscope telephoto camera, it's an indication that a more advanced zoom camera is in the works.
